Handball Coach for the Malta National Sports School Appointed

Liam Harrison has been appointed by the Malta Handball Association as it’s visiting coach at the Malta National Sports School.

Described as a step in the right direction, the MHA President, Mr. Paul Zammit said that having Handball athletes at the National Sports School gives us hope and the energy to focus on our grassroots for the sport of Handball to be more popular in Malta in the coming years.

Liam Harrison is starting his 9th season as a Handball player, has represented Malta at both Indoor Handball and Beach Handball competitions. Harrison is also a level 2 licenced Handball Coach and has been coaching at junior levels for the past 5 seasons.

Academically, Harrison holds a B.Sc(Hon) in Sports and Physical Activity, and is currently reading for a MSc in Strength and Conditioning.

The Malta Handball Association will be monitoring closely the development and performance of its athletes at the National Sports School and hopes for more students to join in the future.
