Hamrun Spartans add former striker

Scottish striker Dene Shields pen a two year deal with Hamrun Spartans this evening as he starts he second adventure with the Reds.

The twenty nine year old had trained with the Spartans in the last days as he impressed coach Jesmond Zammit during his short stay. During the off season the former Sunderland striker trained with a top Bulgarian side

Last season the Scottish journeyman scored six goals for the Reds.

Early this afternoon Sportinmalta contacted president Daniel Sullivan as he confirmed the interest to sign the former Sunderland forward and the decision and also reaffirm the latest foreign acquisitions will stay with club.

He now in line to make his seasonal debut against Sliema Wanderers next week.
