Early goals pave the way for Hamrun win

Hamrun Spartan went top the relegation pool standings with two first half goals by striker Anderson Mendes Ribiero and Dene Shields.

Brazilian striker Ribiero gave the Reds an early lead before on the half an hour mark the Scottish doubled the score as he tapped in. In the added time Daniel Mariano Bueno scored consolidationgoal for the Blues.

It was a deserved win for Stefan Sultana side who should have added to their tally in the second half.

Hamrun mentor Stefan Sultana opted for usually 4-2-3-1 formation, as Geatan Spiteri, Kevin Sammut and Scottish Dene Shields played behind striker Anderson Mendes Ribiero.

Tarxien Rainbows coach Patrick Curmi atarted an initial 4-1-4-1 formation.

90min: Daniel Mariano Bueno scored a late goal for the blues as he tapped in an empty net after Jimmy Mayasi shot hit the woodwork.
