So did Vince Farrugia on his VW Polo.  Gordon Johnson on a Peugeot 205, Christian Galea on his Fiat Ritmo, Malcom Borg on his Opel Corsa and Carlos Mifsud on a Ford Fiesta also qualified for the Class A Finals.

Cassar and Johnson made an excellent start and took the lead with Mifsud following but was overtaken by Galea in the second lap. Soon all spectators drew their attention to the latter group where Farrugia was pressing hard and passed on Mifsud. Borg also started pressing hard on Mifsud but later was forced to retire due to a mechanical failure. Cassar, Johnson and Galea won the first three places of the seven laps race.

Borg took 3rd place ahead of Gauci and Martin when all were pressing hard to overtake any competitor but it was Vella who overtook on Martin. The 7 lap race ended with Pisani winning this class. Borg and Gauci placed 2nd and 3rd respectively.

These Gozo Autocross drivers drive cars based on the same Autocross rules.
