Despite having failed to get the deal right last year with the Solo Futbol company First Division side Gudja United will once again try their luck with yet another similar deal.

The Club’s Treasurer George Cutajar had been quoted saying last year that the deal with the company Solo Futbol was an attempt to get nearer professionalism but he is on quote admitting that the deal failed to reach its target. In fact, Gudja had also terminated their coach’s contract during the season.
It is being reported that the Club has a similar deal with another Italian company, this time a much transparent deal with the Italian “investors” already sending players for trials.
This site can reveal that the deal goes around 12-14 players all Italian or Italian passport holders who are all very young players which are put on the Gudja books at a cost.
The cost involves a registration fee paid by the player’s parents or agents for the time spent in Malta playing football and study in institutions if need be.
Sources close to the Club say that the deal this year will be a successful one.
