Goalkeepers in Italian experience

Trained with Siena Goalkeeper’s Head coach and also paid a short visit at Coverciano

Twelve goalkeepers from the Mario Muscat Goalkeeper School attended with success a goalkeeper training camp at Scuola Numero Uno between the 9th and 16th of July. The locals joined 22 Italians and 1 Portuguese goalkeepers for the 18th summer camp organised by prof. Giuseppe De Fidio.

All goalkeepers also had the opportunity to train under Siena’s primavera head coach Massimo Cataldi, who was impressed with the potential of the Maltese keepers.

The group was also invited to Coverciano which is the technical centre of Italy’s national teams. They also visited the football museum where all world cups trophies are kept.

Another first was that of Mary Anne Mumform who is the first female keeper to attend this camp. Birkirkara keeper Dylan Galea was chosen as the best goalkeeper of the camp.
