Gianluca Chetcuti finishes in 4th place at the ISSF World Cup 2017

Young and talented Double Trap shooter Gianluca Chetcuti made his debut today at The ISSF World Cup Larnaca 2017 with flying colours where he managed to qualify among the top six world class shooters. He managed 28/30 in his first round, 29/30, 28/30, 24/30 and 26/30 for a total of 135/30. With this score he had to go for a shoot of where he smashed 3/4 to enter the elimination rounds where he managed 45/50 to place 4th overall.
  1. Daniele Dispignio of Italy won Gold with 78/80 World Final Record.
  2. Nekrasov Artem of Russia won Silver with 72/80
  3. Gasparini Davide of Italy won Bronze with 56/60
  4. Gianluca Chetcuti of Malta placed 4th with 45/50
  5. Vasily Mosin of Russia placed 5th with 35/40
  6. Bharadaj Shapath of India placed 6th with 26/30
Maltese shooter William Chetcuti placed 8th with 135/150. They are being assisted by MSSF coach Jimmy Bugeja.
Bozidar Dimitrov and Clive Farrugia took part in The Skeet event at The ISSF World Cup Larnaca, while Brian Galea, Frans Pace and Mario Buhagiar that is assisted by Coach Dr. James Galea will be competing in The Trap Event in Cyprus. This will serve the six Maltese shooters as a build up for their participation in The Small Nations Games in June.
