George Cassar wins Malta Trap GP

This weekend the Malta Shooting Sport Federation organized The Trap Grand Prix at The Bidnija ranges on 125 clays and a barrage final for the top six on another 25 clays. The conditions of the weather encouraged the shooters to achieve what is considered high scores in local trap shooting. Brian Galea, Jason J. Aquilina and George Cassar managed straights of 25/25 during this competition.

George Cassar that just returned from ISSF World Cup in Slovania where he managed an MQS of 116/125 today won The Trap Grand Prix with 115/125 and 23/25 in the barrage finals for a total of 138/150.

Jeffery Pisani placed second with 117+19=136

Stanley Cardona placed third with 116+19=135

Jason J.Aquilina placed 4th with 118+16=134

Frans Pace placed 5th with 115+18=133

In the meantime on Sunday 24th July, the MSSF will be organizing The 2nd MALTA INTERNATIONAL DOUBLE TRAP GRAND PRIX 2011 that is scheduled to start at 9.00 am where top double trap shooters compete on 3 rounds of 50 clays each.

The Barrage finals are scheduled at around  2.30 pm on 50 spectacular flash targets on range A. The Maltese public is invited to support local shooters William Chetcuti and Nathan Lee competing for a substantial prize money thanks to our main sponsors Middlesea Valletta Life, BOV, Blue Line and Pintonino Ristorante among others.

On range B a Local Trap competition will be organized on 50+25.
