Four clubs will be aiming to win their first games of the season. Tarxien Rainbows and Sliema Wanderers will be aiming at collecting their first 3 full points in the BOV Premier League after their respective opening matches as the two teams cross swords in the opening game of Match day 2 at the Hibernians Stadium.

Tarxien Rainbows had a good performance against champions Valletta last Sunday, as they were just let down by a Jonathan Caruana second half header. The Rainbows are now eager to collect their first point of the season. Coach Danilo Doncic has all the squad at his disposal as the Serbian will coach for the first time against his former side. Tarxien might field their 4th foreign player as against Valletta last week they had only 3 in their line up.

Sliema Wanderers will be looking for their first win following a battling 1-1 draw against Floriana as new coach Alfonso Greco will give the debut to an Italian striker, who missed the last encounter since his international clearance didn’t arrive on time. The game starts at 18.30.

In Friday’s second match Hamrun Spartans and Floriana face each other  also at the Hibernians Stadium – kick off 20.30. Both clubs will battle against each other for their first win after an impressive display against Balzan FC and Sliema Wanderers respectively.
