Hibernians win three points on the table….. Floriana in crisis

The protest lodged by Hibernians FC over the eligibility of Harry Agombar who played for Floriana FC in a BOV Premier League encounter on 1st Febuary, was upheld by the MFA Protests Board tonight.

Hibernians have now gained the three points they originally lost to move top the table, one point above of champions Valletta. Michael Woods team are now at the summit with 44 points.

Floriana, who had beaten Hibernians 1-0, are now drop to 9th with 24 points.

    One result does not reflect if a club is in crisis or not. However, i was convinced that Hibs were going to win this protest case. As they say “Scratch my back and i scratch yours!”

    In England it is something common to loan out a player to many clubs to play more..it happens even in the Premiership !

    Premiership rules forbid more than one transfer per season, but a young player may go out on loan to a variety of clubs throughout the course of a season, so in theory he could end up representing half a dozen over the course.
