Floriana find gold mine and pay dues to avoid points deduction

After the Malta Football Association had warned Floriana that if they do not pay their dues to several players they would be penalized with deduction of  points the Greens immediately a golden mine and paid up their dues to players who had been asking to be paid since last December.

The greens paid the sum of €3960 to Aron Brown after they were forced to do so by 8th March 2013.  The greens were also faced with points deduction after they had to pay €20,000 to Birkirkara a sum that was long overdue. They in fact managed to pay also this sum and eventually the imposed prohibition was waived.

They also paid €2,225 to Valdo Alhino. This site is informed that Floriana have already gathered enough money to pay also €4,555 to Aman Verma.

Hamrun Spartans also were risking some points deduction unless they pay their dues. The Spartans settled the pending dues with player Mark Anthony Bonnici as they issued a cheque for him of €1358 which was long overdue. Hamrun also issued a cheque to Rupert Mangion equivalent to €4,000 also for overdue payments.

Mosta had to pay €500 to Ian Zammit which they also settled in the past days.

 

Marsaxlokk are also in trouble as they have dues to settle with player Andrew Spiteri and to their coach Louis Cutajar. Cutajar is owned €4,015 and had to be paid by 5th April a deadline that the Club did not honour. Marsaxlokk who have recently managed to establish mathematically their position on the BOV 1st div league seem to have reached a verbal agreement with Spiteri as he is owned €5,000 but the player accepted not to press further through the MFA structures for the time being.

Mqabba owe €500 to coach Renzo Kerr Cumbo the latter wrote to the players, coaches, and players agents Complaints board.
