In his introductory speech, Bro Martin Borg fsc, Chairman of FISEC Malta said that once again, this year the Maltese Executive Committee worked hard to give the Maltese athletes a chance to get international experience in these highly rated games. “Our participation every year in these games is only made possible thanks to the financial backing of the Maltese Council for Sport (KMS) and the constant support of the parents. Apart from this, I would also like to thank Airmalta and Euro Sport that are our partners in this sport experience,” commented Bro Martin.

The FISEC Chairman claimed that in the past years, FISEC Malta has several times organised successfully these games on our island and in this sense the Maltese committee gave also its contribution in the Sport Tourism Sector.  “It is also for this reason that my committee supports and backs the White Rocks Sports Village project recently announced by the government.  Certainly this project will give Maltese athletes the opportunity to train and compete in new sport facilities of a high standard. Apart from this, a Sport Village will surely help Maltese committees like ours that from time to time organise international competitions in Malta with the participation of over 1000 athletes,” said Bro Martin.
