Maltese international player Daniel Bajada notched two wins on Saturday evening as his side ASD Fiaccola obtained their first win of the season after defeating APD Tauromenion Taormina 5-2 in a Serie B1 Girone D encounter played in Castellana Grotte, Bari. Bajada obtained two identical 3-0 victories against Nicolo Masaracchia and Marcello Puglisi.

Bajada’s remarkable result adds on to his triumph a fortnight ago when he won both the singles and doubles events at the Italian National Open for 4th category players in Terni.

Thanks to the prestigious results obtained, Bajada is now ranked no. 451 among Italy’s 1650 registered top level players.

ASD Fiaccola’s next encounter will be on Saturday when they play against ASD Sport Club Etna in Catania.
