Both teams will decide the dates during a meeting later on today. Valletta FC  are today represented in Nyon the House of European Football by their President Victor Sciriha.

Valletta are favorites to pass to the second qualifying round which will eventually see them through against FC Ekranas Champions of Lithuania.  The draws for the third qualifying round will be made on July 15.

In a telephone interview minutes after the draw the Valletta coach Jesmond Zerafa said “We think we had an ideal draw for the first Qualifying Round, we shall play away against Tre Fiori and if we keep on the good upbeat work we can make it”.

Asked to comment about the possibility to face Ekranas of Lithuania in the second qualifying round Zerafa said; “I do not know much about this team but as we speak my collaborators have already started  compiling the necessary information for me. I do not want to think of the game against the Lithuanian team but for the time being we should only concentrate on winning on aggregate against Tre Fiori then we take it from there” Zerafa said.

Valletta will play away to Tre Fiore in the first Leg of the first qualifying round but should they progress they will host Ekranas first in Malta then play the return match in the Eastern country.

The UEFA Europa League draws will be made at 13:00hrs CET
