With the BOV First Division season a distant memory and fans now turning their attention to the new campaign rather than reflecting upon the old, the transfer market is gathering steam.

The Stars also added some other valuable assets.

Melita are among a group of clubs seeking promotion and are expected to signing Birkirkara’s great striker Michael Galea and could also add Luca Lodetti to bolster the defence after Rudi Alinho’s departure from Mosta.

Newly Promoted Rabat Ajax had a busy summer after they signed Lija Athletic’s goalkeeper Shawn Mintoff, Hiberians’ youngster Yan Cauchi and Valletta’s Clifford Gauci. Albanese Wilson Causchi returns with the Magpies as President Dr. Michael Sciriha targets another promotion for the two time Premier League winners.

Neighbours Dingli Swallows signed Tarxien Rainbows’ striker Warren Chircop and defender John Debattista from Hamrun Spartans as they lost the services of star striker Princwell Okachi who signed for a Polish club last week. The Maroons are on the verge to sign Floriana’s forgotten midfielder Mauro Brincat after he held successful talks with President Daren Micallef.

Newly promoted Birzebuga signed Hamrun second choice Ivan Casha to bolster the defence option. Mead Mifsud is also in line to sign for the south coast.
