Fgura win low-key game

This game never reached any heights. Sta Venera are in second spot on 21 points from 8 games while Fgura are in fourth place on 15 points from same number of games.
Sta Venera created the first three actions. From a flag kick by Carlos Felice the ball cleared to another corner, Kurt Pace served Ryan Grech with a short pass who then served Ryan Mangion in the area who headed slightly out. After Kane Pisani was fouled on the left flank the ball was cleared away with difficulty from the free kick by the same player and from a flag kick by Pace the ball was partly cleared and Fgura keeper Matthew Sciberras saved the rebound shot by Neil Farrugia.
In the first action by Fgura, Luke Cachia dribbled past two opponents and after entering the area a defender clreared the ball to a corner which was taken by Matthew Magro and Sta Venera keeper Joel Xuereb neutralised the ball with a diving save in two attempts 
In Fgura’s next attack in the 22nd minute they opened the score as Magro controlled a loose ball outside Sta Venera’s area and after beating an opponet, Xuereb fumbled the ball from his hard grounder and it rolled behind the fatal line.
Sta Venera were awarded a free kick after Felice was fouled outside the area and Sciberras brought the house down with a fine diving save from the free kick by Farrugia.
In trhe last action before the break Sean Theuma dribbled past two opponents and after trying his luck from the edge of the area Xuereb partly saved his shot and a defender cleared the ball away to safety.
The game came to life after the restart during which period two more goals were scored. Fgura created the first actions after the restart. Ryan Mifsud served Luke Cachia with a through ball in the area and Xuereb saved his shot by tipping the ball over the bar and minutes later he saved a header by Magro after a Christian Frendo free kick after the former was fouled on the left flank and the ball found no takers to apply the killer touch after a perfect cross from the left flank by Theuma.
Fgura doubled their lead in the 69th minute when Dejan Vidolich served Luke Cachia with a square pass on the right edge of the area and he scored with a hard grounder.
In the first minute of added time Sta Venera reduced the gap as Kane Pisani entered the area after dribbling past an opponent and scored with a low shot.
