L-eksattakkant ta’ Juventus u t-tim nazzjonali Taljan Fabrizio Ravanelli se jkun f’Malta bejn l-20 u t-22 t’April fuq stedina tal-Juventus Club DOC Malta Cuore Bianconero tal-Imrieħel.

Dettalji dwar din iż-żjara ngħataw waqt konferenza tal-aħbarijiet li saret fil-klabb stess is-Sibt filgħodu, fejn intwera wkoll messaġġ minn Ravanelli lill-Juventini Maltin. Hu esprima s-sodisfazzjon tiegħu li se jżur Malta, li ddeskriva bħala “gżira mill-isbaħ,” għall-ewwel darba.

Magħruf bħala Penna Bianca minħabba kundizzjoni li wasslitu biex xagħru jibjad kmieni, Ravanelli skurja 41 gowl f’111-il logħba ma’ Juventus. Iżda żgur li l-iktar gowl speċjali għalih kien dak li skurja fil-finali tal-UEFA Champions League tal-1995-96 kontra Ajax, li ntrebħet minn Juventus wara l-għoti tal-penaltis.

Ma’ Juventus, Ravanelli rebaħ ukoll il-UEFA Cup fl-1992-93, il-kampjonat u l-Coppa Italia fl-1994-95 u s-Supercoppa Italiana tal-1995. Dan filwaqt li lagħab 22 logħba mat-tim nazzjonali Taljan, fejn skurja tmien gowls.

Matul l-istess konferenza tal-aħbarijiet, il-President tal-klabb Omar Busuttil iddeskriva din iż-żjara bħala r-ringrazzjament tal-kumitat lill-membri għas-suċċess li kiseb il-Juventus Club DOC Malta Cuore Bianconero, li ġie dikjarat b’mod uffiċjali bħala l-ikbar Supporters Club ta’ Juventus barrani b’iktar minn 770 membru DOC.

Dan minbarra li għall-ewwel darba fi storja ta’ erba’ snin, il-klabb qabeż l-elf membru tesserat mal-klabb. Filwaqt li rringrazzja lill-membri, Busuttil laqa’ dawn ir-riżultati iżda qal li “Dan is-sinjal ta’ fiduċja hu wkoll responsabbiltà biex il-klabb ikompli jaħdem fl-interess tal-Juventini Maltin.”

Max Zammit, li għamel kuntatt ma’ Ravanelli u l-persuna li bħala koordinatur tal-klabb ġie inkarigat mill-organizzazzjoni tal-mawra ta’ Ravanelli f’Malta, fisser din l-attività bħala waħda speċjali anke fid-dawl li Ravanelli mhux soltu li jagħmel żjarat fi klabbs, b’mod speċjali dawk barranin.

Il-Juventus Club DOC Malta Cuore Bianconero nieda wkoll is-sit uffiċjali tiegħu, juventusmalta.com, li qed jiġi aġġornat kontinwament b’aħbarijiet u artikli relatati, b’mod speċjali, ma’ Juventus.

Fabrizio Ravanelli in Malta between the 20th and the 22th April

Former Juventus and Italy national team attacker Fabrizio Ravanelli will be in Malta between the 20th and 22nd April as a guest of the Juventus Club DOC Malta Cuore Bianconero, Imrieħel.

Details about this visit were announced during a press conference held Saturday morning, where a video message by Ravanelli was aired. He expressed his satisfaction at visiting Malta for the first time, an island he described as “beautiful and special.”

Known as Penna Bianca (or White Feather), due to a medical condition which affected his hair colour, Ravanelli scored 41 goals in 111 matches with Juventus. However his most memorable goal remains the one scored during the 1996 Champions League final against Ajax. Juventus won this edition, and their only Champions League to date, following a penalty shootout.

With Juventus, Ravanelli won the 1992/93 UEFA Cup, the Serie A and Coppa Italia of 1994/95 and the Supercoppa Italiana of 1995. He also played 22 games and scored 8 goals for Italy’s national team.

During the same press conference, the club’s President Omar Busuttil labelled this event as a recognition towards the club’s members, who helped it achieve the title of the largest foreign Juventus supporters club in terms of DOC members, with a total of more than 770 members.

The number increases to over 1,000 when one considers the amount of club members, a personal record of the club’s four year history. Whilst thanking the members, Busuttil welcomed the results but emphasised that this is “a sign of trust and responsability for the club, that aims to continue working towards the Maltese Juventus supproters’ best interest.”

On the other hand Max Zammit, the club’s coordinator and the person in charge of this event, described it as special considering that Ravanelli normally declines such invites.

In recent days the Juventus Club DOC Malta Cuore Bianconero also launched its’ new official website, juventusmalta.com, which is constantly updated with news and articles.

A calendar of events related to this event will be announced in the coming days. More details can be obtained via email on info@juventusmalta.com.
