This evening, the Kordin Sports Pavilion witnessed yet another farse involving local futsal after no referees turned up for the 1st Division futsal game between Naxxar Motors and Pentagon Properties. The game was scheduled to commence at 7.45pm but to the surprise of many, the game couldn’t start because no referees were informed of this fixture.

Frustrated players and officials of both teams, called at our offices to register their anger at the MFA for yet another mishap with regards referees appointments and the futsal league. Witnessing also this embarrassing moment, was the National Futsal Coach Vic Hermans and also Donald Spiteri, member of the MFA Executive Commitee who were seen agitated trying to call the MFA Offices to report this mishap.

Ma tantx ikunu agitati L MFA f dawn il kazijiet ghax dejjem jaraw x isibu biex jghattu l-izbalji li jkunu ghamlu…..

Fin-K.O tal-1st u 2nd il-loghob suppost jintlaghab bit-timekeeper (anke fuq il-fixtures kien hemm miktub hekk) pero ghal-raguni li hadd ma jaf l-ewwel zewg loghbiet intlghabu minghajr timekeeper. Dan huwa technical error li L-Mfa kienet taf bih mir-rapport tar-referee pero ma regghux intlaghbu il-loghbiet kif suppost kellu jsir. Jikkonferma li qed nghid huwa korrett hemm il-loghbiet ta wara, ghax kollha bit-timekeeper intlaghbu.
