Joseph Borda new Kalkara Regatta President

This site can reveal that former Marsamxett Regatta main committee member Joseph Borda has been elected as the new President of Kalkara Regatta Club.

Borda who has a long positive track record in the Marsamxett Valletta administration, has been recently forced out of the Valletta committee due to unknown reasons.

The return of Joseph Borda in the administration of a Regatta Club comes to no surprise due to the fact that Borda has been attached to this sport for many years and even followed the Regattas quite closely even when he wasn’t a Club official.

The Kalkara Regatta Club is still to make Borda’s appointment as Club President official.

Kalkara’s aim is to be competitive also in the Open category apart from consolidating the Reserves category in which the Greens won the Shield few months ago.

In the meantime the Kunsill Malta għall-iSport has recently informed the participating Clubs that there will be a change in the starting and finishing line of the September and March Regattas.
