The fourth and final day of the EuroHockey Club Champions Challenge IV got under way early with hosts Sliema Hotsticks HC avoiding the wooden spoon when they beat Seinajoki United of Finland 5-0. A first half goal from Jonathan Borg set the ball rolling and two further goals from the same player and another two from Steve Portelli in the second half sealed an emphatic and merited victory for the hosts.

The second half was a different kettle of fish has Kringsja scored five goals without reply through Arunpreet Singh Garcha, Nathan Schrimgeour, Inderjit Singh, Jaspreet Singh and captain Sandeep Singh Sohi; and assured themselves of promotion to the Challenge III.

The seventh match of the tournament saw Qormi HC face Imittos HC from Greece. The game was a tight one with scoring chances few and far between and seemed destined for a penalty shoot out until right on 70 minutes Thomas Degiovani fired in a rising reverse hit that gave victory and promotion to his side.
