Envic Galea attends the IJF and EJU Congress in Astana

The International Judo Federation (IJF) Congress, the first official and public business on the occasion of the World Judo Championships 2015 in Astana, Kazakhstan, took place at the Palace of Peace and Reconciliation.

Mr. VIZER president of the IJF said: “Our events show our dynamic rules which are generating more active judo and they are appreciated by athletes and fans. Our sport has undergone massive development regarding the global arena as world-class sport; practitioners and heroes join together for 19 global events each year.

“Last year there was a cumulative TV audience of 176 million people with over 3,000 hours broadcast.”

“Judo is most educational sport on the Olympic Program, without any discrimination,” said Mr. VIZER. “It’s our duty to keep helping our members to have a better life.”

The IJF organises seminars in all sectors showing the unity and continuity in refereeing with the next seminar in Kodokan at the end of January.

The IJF Academy, a special academic course for coaches put forward by national federations, has three levels and has already attracted people from 48 countries with 91 students having graduated so far with the support of the Olympic Solidarity.”

Envic Galea Director of the IJF Academy during the Congress summed up the report for the 2 years of the Academy and introduced the brand new website, now running in 6 languages English, French, Italian, Georgian, Spanish and Turkish, with other languages being planned. He also said that during the World Championships, several appointments were planned. During the next semester starting in 2016, the IJF Academy will be going to all the 5 continents to be established as the national qualification system for Judo coaches in several countries.  The Academy is already established in Italy, Turkey and Georgia.

The 67th Ordinary Congress of the European Judo Union (EJU) represented by 36 member nations was also held in Astana after the IJF Congress. the EJU General Secretary Envic Galea led the delegates through the points and introduced the Bureau members responsible for sectors who presented their reports on Sports, Refereeing, Marketing and Education, Treasury and Administrative matters. During this congress, Kosovo became the 51st member of the Union.

Envic Galea jattendi il-Kungressi tal-EJU u l-IJF f’Astana

Il-Kungress tal-Federazzjoni Internazzjonali tal-Judo (IJF), l-ewwel avveniment uffiċjali u pubbliku fl-okkażjoni tal-Kampjonati tad-Dinja tal-Judo ta’ din is-sena, sar fil-Palazz tal-Paċi u r-Rikonċiljazzjoni f’Astana, il-Każakstan.

Il-President tal-IJF, is-sur Vizer qal: “l-avvenimenti tagħna juru r-regoli dinamiċi li qed jiġġeneraw judo aktar attiv u huma apprezzati mill-atleti u supporters. L-isport tagħna għaddha minn żvilupp enormi fl-arena globali bħala sport ta’ klassi dinjija, fejn il-prattikanti u l-eroj tal-isport jingħaqdu flimkien f’19-il avvenimenti globali kull sena”.

“Tul is-sena li għaddiet kien hemm udjenza tat-TV kumulattiva ta’ 176 miljun ruħ b’aktar minn 3000 siegħa mxandra.”

“Judo huwa l-aktar sport edukattiv fil-Programm Olimpiku, mingħajr ebda diskriminazzjoni,” qal is-Sur Vizer.

“Huwa dmir tagħna li nkomplu ngħiny lill-membri tagħna biex ikollhom ħajja aħjar.”

L-IJF torganizza seminars fis-setturi kollha u turi l-unità u l-kontinwità. Is-seminar tar-refereeing li jmiss ser isir fil-Kodokan fl-aħħar ta’ Jannar.

L-Akkademja tal-IJF, kors akkademiku speċjali għall-coaches mressqa mill-federazzjonijiet nazzjonali, għandha tliet livelli u diġà ġibdet nies minn 48 pajjiż bi 91 student li gradwaw s’issa bl-appoġġ tas-Solidarjetà Olimpika.

Envic Galea, Direttur tal-Akkademja tal-IJF, waqt il-kungress ta sinteżi tar-rapport għas-2 snin ta’ l-Akkademja u introduċa il-websajt il-ġdida fjamanta, li bħalissa qiegħda disponibbli f’6 lingwi Ingliż, Franċiż, Taljan, Ġorġjan, Spanjol u Tork. Lingwi oħra qed jiġu ppjanati. Hu qal ukoll li matul il-Kampjonati tad-Dinja, diversi appuntamenti qed jiġu ppjanati. Matul is-semestru li jmiss li jibda fl-2016, l-Akkademja tal-IJF ser iżżur kull wieħed mil-5 kontinenti fejn ser tiġi stabbilita bħala s-sistema nazzjonali ta’ kwalifiki għall-coaches tal-Judo f’diversi pajjiżi. Din diġa ġiet stabbilita fl-Italja, it-Turkija, u il-Ġeorġja.

Is-67 Kungress Ordinarju tal-Unjoni Ewropea tal-Judo (EJU) kien rrappreżentat minn 36 nazzjonijiet. Dan sar wara l-Kungress tal-IJF wkoll f’Astana. Is-Segretarju Ġenerali tal-EJU, Envic Galea, iggwida lid-delegati punt punt tal-Aġenda u ntroduċa l-membri tal-Bureau li huma responsabbli għas-setturi li ppreżentaw ir-rapporti tagħhom dwar l-Isport, Refereeing , Marketing, Edukazzjoni, Finanzi u materji amministrattivi. Matul dan kungress, il-Kosovo saret l-51 membru tal-EJU.
