Johann Said will not contest to form part of the committee of Floriana FC next season after some old foes asked Said to clear out his loyal members namely Matthew Carbone, Lyton Debattista and Mark Frendo. If this does not happen then it seems that Said will not be guaranteed a majority of votes in the next Annual General Meeting.

President Johann Said is utterly disappointed that not even one of the current committee members wanted to commit himself and assure Mr Said that he will get part of the money he forked out for the club in the past two years.

This season was the second year for Johann Said as President of the Greens and in the last 20 months he guided the club to a consecutive Europa League qualification and he brought back the Maltese F.A. Trophy after nineteen years.

Johann Said was also expected to give current coach Joe Brincat a one year extension on his contract, but this could be confirmed only after the outcome of the Annual General Meeting.

Argentinean Pablo Doffo is to leave the Greens as he started contract talks with Balzan Youths.
