Dusan Fitzel is sorry to have said no to MFA

Czech coach Dusan Fitzel has decided that the time is not right to return to Malta to lead the National team as coach of our team. Mr.Fitzel who has already had a stint as Malta’s coach in the past, communicated with Bjorn Vassallo and informed him that the Czech FA President left him free to make his own decision, but after some thoughts he decided to keep his current job.

Fitzel seems to have told Vassallo that his wife was willing and eager to come to Malta but on the other hand he was not convinced due to the fact that he would leaving behind two years of work at the Youth section of Czech Republic FA.

Fitzel has opted to stay in his country to continue the work over there but has not dismissed the possibility that he will be available in the future.

Robert Gatt, the current caretaker coach and MFA Technical director, is therefore pushed again to his drawing book to put forward another short list to be presented to Darmanin Demajo and Vassallo. We are back to square one !!
