Drag Racing: Maltese drivers to train in Sicily

Mr. William England Malta Motorsport Treasurer and contender for the post of Vice President together with officials from MMF affiliated Clubs addressed a press conference on Saturday 10th September 2016 at Malta Drag Racing Association Race Track in Ħal Far @ 10.00 hrs.

Mr. England explained that following specialised training by Consultants from the Motor Sport Association of UK and with the help of experienced FIA approved Race Director from Automobile Club d’Italia in the coming days a number of Maltese race officials will be travelling to Erice in Sicily to shadow an event with the aim to continue building and improving on the good standards we already have in Malta.

The officials are William England, Luke Bajona, Geoffrey Pulis, Ruben Hili, Charles Galea, Albert Zerafa, Tonio Mizzi and Chris Aquilina.

Another four Island Car Club Members will also be travelling to Mount Erice in Trapani, close to Palermo to participate in the hill climb; these are Noel Galea on Ford Escort MK2 2000, Jesmond Mangion on Lotus Elan BDA 2000, Ryan Mangion on Ford Escort MK1 1600 Turbo and Joe Anastasi on Mini Cooper 1500..
