Dino Zammit joins San Giljan

Young promising Waterpolo player Dino Zammit has officially joined San Giljan for good. The national team player have been featuring regularly the local waterpolo league with Sirens.

Zammit has already started training with his new teammates under the guidance of coach Karl Izzo. This site is informed that San Giljan paid the sum of 50,ooo Euro to Sirens to secure the deal.

San Giljan ASC have announced that Dino Zammit has joined the Club from Sirens ASC. Club President Dr. Daniel Aquilina has expressed his immense satisfaction on this signing with a firm belief that Dino Zammit’s signature was fundamental for the immediate ambitions of the Club. Negotiations were understandably long and complicated and the Club is particularly delighted that Dino Zammit believed in San Giljan’s project and chose to join the ‘Giljanizi’ notwithstanding interest from other Clubs. Dino’s father, Mario, was a protagonist of the successful San Giljan side in the mid-90’s.

In the meantime, San Giljan have received a further boost prior to the start of the season. Matthew Zammit, also known as ‘Xellugi’, has committed his future to his hometown Club after coming through all the junior ranks of San Giljan ASC. Today he is a pillar of the National Team and recognized as one of the local game’s most impressive talents. Veteran Karl Galea has also extended his contract with the Club for another year, determined to help San Giljan in their aspirations of winning a major honour.

    50000€ ????? i guess they have money to throw away. he is promising but has yet to prove himself. he is not worth nowhere close to that amount.
