Desjardins signs for Czech top division club‏

La Salle Handball Club yesterday announced that left back Stephanie Desjardins, 24, will spend next season 2012/13 on loan at Tjhazenajh in theCzechRepublic. In April, Desjardins was invited for a trial with the Czech top division club. Last season Desjardins scored 59 goals in 9 appearances forLa Salle to finish the campaign as the league’s leading scorer.

A Physical Education teacher by profession, Desjardins will be sacrificing her family, friends, and career for her long life dream to play handball in a professional environment.

Desjardins started handball in 2005 at the age of 17 with Luxol Handball Club. In 2007 she joined La Salle Handball Club. She has been part of the National team since 2006. She took part in two Challenge Trophies organised by the European Handball Federation held inCyprusandIsrael.
