Daniel Tanti’s prospects of continuing his fledging handball career overseas received a boost this week after the Luxol Si Mangia goal keeper began a trial with Bergisher Handball Club 06, from Germany.

Tanti, who represented Malta in the Euro Qualifiers, flew to Germany on Monday after receiving an official invitation to join the German club for a trial.

The contacts between both clubs began late last season when members from the German club visited Luxol Handball Club. They assessed Tanti’s qualities and offered him the opportunity to join them for a trial.

Bergisher Handball’s main objective is to invest on young talent to build a strong team for the Bundesliga. Last season Bergisher Handball played in German’s top division but were demoted after just one season.

During his trial, the Malta International goal keeper, will acquire personal training with ex German International Christia Hannawald and with Bergisher’s first team.
