On Tuesday 12th & Tuesday 19th February 2013 a Group of 20 students undergoing a Diploma course in Physical Education and two lecturers from MCAST attended a Coaching Young Footballers coaching course (CYF) at the Technical Centre, run by the Coaching Education section of the MFA Technical Centre.

The course was divided into Theory and Practical sessions which dealt with the Principles of coaching, ABCs, Basic Coordination, Multilateral Development, Basic Goalkeeping, Ball Familiarisation skills, and basic training for different age groups from U/5 to U/9.

This 16 hour course was the 2nd course of its nature that the Technical Centre has held in collaboration with MCAST. This is in line with the objectives of the MFA Technical Centre to diffuse the best coaching education amongst its coaches and new recruits to do the job in the interest of our future in the football arena. Apart from such courses the Technical Centre is also highly involved in the Government New School of Sport with the participation of several coaches in the school curriculum and school visits by the women’s National Team coaches in schools coordinated by its Grassroots Department.
