Last week the Cycling for a Cleaner Future, a two-day  fundraising event organised by Inspire was launched.  Hon. Mario de Marco, Parliamentary Secretariat for Tourism, the Environment and culture and Hon. Clyde Puli, Parliamentary Secretariat for Youth and Sport were present at the press conference along with the president from Malta Cycling Federation and CEO of Inspire, Nathan Farrugia.

This event encourages the public to forego normal mode of transport for two days and have fun cycling whilst reducing their carbon footprint. Moreover the participants will be raising funds for Inspire, a leading NGO in the disability sector!

Hon. Mario de Marco said that,’such an initiative as this is important as it encourages the public to use alternative modes of transport to cars’. Hon. Clyde Puli agreed and adds, ‘doing physical exercise such as cycling is beneficial also to wellbeing of the person apart from the environment’

Cycling for a Cleaner Future is organized in association with ‘Malta Cycling Federation’ and ‘Kunsill Malti ghall-iSport’.
