In front of another capacity crowd on a superb night of boxing Malta’s Heavyweight Billy ‘The Hit Man’ Corito continued with his excellent run of success to register his ninth consecutive win. A fight where he defended the EBF Intercontinental Heavyweight Title Belt against Davey ‘Boy’ Clarke (UK) and which saw the Maltese boxer winning by a technical Knock-Out in the second round in a fight which should have lasted six rounds of 3-minutes each session.
For Corito this was his eighth Knock-Out win with the other fight of his last nine he won by points. ‘The Hit Man’ became a Semi-Professional Boxer in December 2011 where this victory sees him better his ranking in the EBF Heavyweight category, moving up one place to 7th placing.

Two fights in particular were of significant importance as at stake were EBF Intercontinental Belts in two different categories both won by Maltese boxers. In the fight for the EBF Intercontinental Title Belt Cruiserweight Category, Tyrone Borg also won by points in the 4th Round against Craig Haithon. These fights were made up of four sessions of two minutes each.
