Carabott Nicholas Wins Profs Maemple Trophy Event

Carabott Nicholas won the Profs Maemple Trophy on a two day event on 75+50 including the best six shooter qualifying for the semi-finals and medal matches for gold, silver and bronze.

This Event was the final of the four selection shoots for the Fazz’a Italian Cup 2016 Trap to be held from the 25 to the 28 August 2016 in Todi Italy.

In the qualification rounds, CARABOTT led the pack with 115/125, followed by Matthew Busuttil with a score of 110, Attard  Nazzareno on 108, Buhagiar Mario on 106, Attard Noel 103 and Scorfna Frank finished  with 102.

Carabott Nicholas defeated Attard Noel in the Gold Medal Match with 10/15 hits to 9/15 hits. In the semi-final, Carabott had shot 11/15 targets while Attard smashed a clay better..

In the Bronze Medal Match, Matthew Busuttil finished in third place overall as he bettered  Buhagair Mario with a score of 10/15 to 9/15. Both shooters had entered this Bronze medal match after a shot off each hitting five consecutive targets.

The two other shooters, who did not make it through to the Medal Matches after the semi-final stage had also shot a score of 9/15 , but finished in fifth and sixth place after the shoot off were Scorfna Frank + 4 and Attard Nazzareno + 1.
