On Saturday with the rain in the morning the game between the Chairman’s XI against the Captain’s XI was in jeopardy. Eventually, a game was played. The original twenty over game was now further reduced to a friendly fifteen overs and batsmen had to retire after facing twenty balls.

The Chairman’s team batted first and the first three batsmen all scored twenty one runs. Malcolm Crabbe made the runs in fifteen balls, Joy Ghoseroy managed to retire after twenty balls and Nowell Khosla managed to survive nineteen balls. Andy Lenard scored eleven runs from thirteen balls and was caught behind of an inside edge which was going down low to the wicket keepers (Sam Aquilina) left hand and managed to take the catch. For the Captain’s team Ronnie Sacco and Andy Naudi were the main wicket takers with two a piece. Interesting to note there were only five fours hit in the innings.

In reply the Captains side began very well with Javed Shah hitting the first ball of the innings for four. He had made eight runs before being bowled in the second over. Bikram Arora played a fantastic innings of twenty five runs from fifteen balls before he was caught brilliantly by Justin Brooke. Arora hit two sixes in his innings. Andy Naudi scored fifteen from eleven balls. Ronnie Sacco was on a war path scoring twenty three runs from eleven balls including four fours and a six. Sam Aquilina after being dropped when he had not scored managed to remain not out on eleven runs.
