The BOV Premier League continues this evening with inform Mosta take on mini crises Qormi at the Victor Tedesco Stadium. The Blues signed Valletta midfielder Dyson Falzon and Serbian Pedrag Mirceta and will start as favourites against Stephen Azzopardi’s side. Coach Steve D’Amato will be without defender Yannick Ossok but striker Gilbert Martin returns after he missed the last games although reports told this site that Martin has been asked to put in more commitment by the Mosta officials or else he faces the axe.

Qormi also signed defender Kris Thackray, and former Tarxien midfielder Caio Suguino with the former making his league debut for the black and yellows. Qormi also welcome back Abubaker Bello Osagie and captain Joseph Farrugia after Osagie missed the 2-1 defeat against ten men Floriana.

In today’s second match high flyers Balzan Youths take on bottom side Marsaxlokk at 20.15

Both sides are indeed of the three points as the Reds are on the verge to secure a six place berth, while the south siders are on eleven matches winless strike. Balzan Youths will be without three defenders Jonathan Francica, Blejdou Guga and Jonathan Bondin. Veteran midfielder Jamie Pace is set to make his debut after he signed till the end of the season from Valletta last night. Marsaxlokk will be without defender Patrick Borg but will give debuts to their latest acquisitions Luke Agius and Nigerian Peter Taiye Olaotun.

Third place Floriana take on strugglers Birkirkara in tomorrow’s first match at the National Stadium Kick off 14.00

Floriana will be without defender Eric Okoto and Nigerian striker Onome Sodje but welcome back midfielder Christian Cassar. Malcolm Licari is still doubtful for the greens after he suffered a slight groin injury in last week 1-0 victory against Balzan Youths.

Birkirkara coach Paul Zammit will also be without defender Joseph Zerafa but newcomer Dutch defender Regilo Nooitmeer could make his debut. Birkirkara could also have Jean Pierre Mifsud Triganza and goalkeeper Justin Haber on the squad list as they are on the verge to sign for the Stripes. Haber is believed to be travelling to Malta.

In tomorrow’s second match leaders Valletta take on Sliema Wanderers

This encounter will be a repetition of last week U*Bet Trophy match as the lilywhites hammered the blues 5-2 after a fine second half display. Coach Jesmond Zerafa will hand the debut to Argentinean midfielder Nahuel Jimenez. Sliema coach Danilo Doncic will be without defender Steve Bezzina and influential midfielder Daniel Mitev.

Match Day 18 continues on Sunday as Mqabba take on Tarxien Rainbows in a very tight encounter.

Mqabba currently eight place will be without playmaker Claudio Callejja while second from bottom Tarxien Rainbows will have the return of vetern Orosco Anonam from a one match suspension.

Match Day 18 ends with second place Hibernaians take on Hamrun Spartans. The Reds are on high morale after they eliminated Birkirkara from the U*Bet Trophy. Coach Jesmond Zammit will have defender Ronnie Hartvig for his disposal while Hibernians coach Mark Miller will be without their star player Andrew Cohen but Edward Herrera will return after he missed the Derby two weeks ago.
