Boris Odwong joins Floriana

Floriana signed former Sampdoria primavera striker Boris Odwong on a one year contract. The Nigerian is set to play next Tuesday against Valletta. The twenty year old once dubbed as the ‘new Mario Balotelli’ played for Serie D side Nuova Nardo Calcio last season.

The Greens could also sign Marco Amaral as he impressed coach Michael Woods. Both players played in the 4-1 win against Gzira last Friday.

Qormi start Transfers activity

Qormi signed promising Nadur Youngsters goalkeeper Steve Sultana on a three year contract as he is set to battle it out with Qormi No 1 Matthew Farrugia. The Under-21 international had an impressive display for Ray Zazu Farrugia’s team against Finland and Lithuania

Veteran Jeffrey Chetcuti is set to continue playing top flight football this season as he held talks with the Qormi committee to wear the black and yellow shirt. He could partner up with Stephen Wellman to form the defending duo that played for Vittoriosa Stars last season.

Also, veteran Dino Cachia has been training with Qormi for the past month as he hopes to earn a contract with them.
