Birzebbugia continue strengthen the squad

Gzira add Tabone, Zebbug sign Gauci

First division side Birzebbugia St Peters are continue strengthen the squad for the new season.

The south siders signed former Hibernians goalkeeper Christian Cassar, veteran defender Pierre Grima, skilful midfielder Christian Calleja from Pieta Hotspurs and Ryan Rrevi, who was on the books of St George’s last season.

The Blues this year also with the guidance of Patrick Curmi welcome back evergreen Ronnie Celeste and Dennis Baldacchino who was on loan to other clubs.

Birzebbugia, also renew the contracts of bulgarian Martin Deanov and Martin Hrubsa earlier this summer for another season.

Meanwhile promotion hopefuls Gzira United complete the signing of goalkeeper Fredrick Tabone on permenent basis.

The young goalkeeper will re-united again with coach Ivan Zammit as both worked togther for the last years at Balzan FC.

Zebbug Rangers capture the signature of Matthew Gauci from Hibernians on a five year deal. The under 21 international also played for Hamrun Spartans and Qormi last two years on loan.
