Birkirkara vs Valletta take on centre stage on Saturday

Match Day 7 starts on Friday night as rejuvenated Hamrun Spartans take on off form side Rabat Ajax on their home soil at 18.00

Hamrun Spartans are coming from a 3-1 win against the other promoted side Melita 3-1 last Friday as Christian Cassar known as ‘’IL-Yaya’’ could feature for the Spartans since he moved from Floriana.

Rabat Ajax will be without influencial defender Clive Brincat as he was dismissed in the 2-0 loss against the Wanderers. The Magpies are still without defender Patrick Borg as they are now 360 minutes without scoring a goal.

In the other match, Qormi take on Floriana, as both are coming from a disappointing defeats against Balzan and Mosta. Qormi welcome back Triston Farrugia as he’s yet to feature for the club since his loan move. Floriana will be without defenders Kane Farrugia and Aron Brown, the latter also skipped the 3-1 defeat against Mosta. Floriana will be again without coach Mark Wright as he’s in his homeland due to personal issues.

Super Saturday will start with the Hibernians and Sliema Wanderers clash. Hibernians will be aiming to bounce back from the 1-0 defeat against leaders Valletta. Hibernians will welcome back goalkeeper Mario Muscat and Brazilian forward Marcelo Dias. On the other side Sliema Wanderers have no selection problems as coach Alfonso Greco could feature more Italians in his squad.

The big match will start at 17.00 as leaders Valletta take on Birkirkara at the National Stadium.

Valletta will be without influencial midfielder Ryan Fenech as he could be out for 4 to 12 weeks as he was injured in the 1-0 win against Hibernians.

Birkirkara have no selection problems as they are coming from a 4-1 win against Tarxien Rainbows.

Matchday 7 continue on Sunday as Balzan take on Melita at the National Stadium kick off – 15.00

Balzan registered their first win last week against Qorm as they start as the hot favourites to add another three points. Balzan will be without veteran goalkeeper Matthew Camilleri who suffered a cruciate ligament injury and could be out till the end of the season.

On the other side Melita welcome defender Camacho after he missed the 3-1 loss against Hamrun Spartans last Friday.

Mosta and Tarxien Rainbows will close Match Day 7 as the north side will start as favourite against the south side. Mosta will be without midfielder Firas Aboulezz as the Rainbows also will be without Evaldo Dos Santos as he was sent off in the 4-1 loss against Birkirkara
