Tarxien were the happier side this afternoon as they registered as yet another important result holding reigning Champions Birkirkara to a goalless draw.

Birkirkara and Tarxien were out this afternoon to gather more points and try to stay close to the top three Clubs that occupy the first three positions so far in the Premier League table.

Birkirkara were on twelve points from nine matches, whilst Coleiro’s team had a point more from the same number of matches.

Daniel Mariano Bueno was given the green light for a starting line up after he fully recovered from injury. Ryan Grech was also included with the first set of eleven players after he too was struggling with his fitness. Paul Zammit had Trevor Cilia on the bench since he has not totally overcome his injury problems. Central defender Nikola Vukanaz watched the game from the tribune as he failed a physical test and was declared not fit to play. Sergio Pacheco was not in the eighteen man sqaud for Tarxien.

Tarxien’s coach asked utility player Anonam to play in midfield with the Nigerian born playing upfront even in the dying moments of the game. Paul Zammit used a 4-2-3-1 approach.
