The men beach handball national team will participate in Arena Handball Tour, in Barcelona, between the 8th and 11th July. The Malta Handball Association said the matches will be an important test for the team led by coach Ian Psaila and his assistant Milos Stanisavljevic. “Following positive results in last season’s Mediterranean games that were held in Pescara, this tournament will provide the coaches with an ideal opportunity to try out new players,” the association said in a statement, in view of the team’s participation in the World Handball Games that will be held next year.

Malta will be facing strong sides from the Spanish championship, Baplamel, Alinegros, and C.H.P. Capella Alkopops . The players have been training for the past months and one can be sure that the Maltese team will be putting up good performances. The team selected for this tournament will be made up of Daniel Gauci and Clinton Mifsud as the keepers, Mauro Camilleri Darmanin, Alan Portelli, Alex DiPilato, Chris Magro, James Rausi, Christian McClean, Philip Mifsud, and Peter Naudi.
