Balzan FC Futsal

As many of you have probably heard by now, we decided to part ways with Balzan Futsal Club. We wish to assure you that this was one of the hardest decisions which we had to take since we got involved in Futsal so many years ago – it was a decision which was taken purely because we genuinely believe in the next project which we shall be embarking on.

Over the past three seasons, we have seen Balzan Futsal club grow and flourish to new heights every year. It was an experience and an honour for us to be involved in the management and running of the club. We have always believed that hard work and dedication are key ingredients to success, and Balzan Futsal Club is testament to that! One FMA league, three FMA K.O. Cups and three Supercup victories are amongst the various successes achieved by this Club! However, despite all the trophies and silverware, our greatest accomplishment at Balzan Futsal Club was that we found a new family! A family that constantly supported each other through thick and thin… a family who always had each other’s back! If we could take away only one thing from this experience it would be the tons of lovely memories which we share with every single person involved with the club.

We therefore would like to take this opportunity to thank all the players, coaches, technical staff and committee members for all their undivided support and undying dedication which they have put into this club, as well as the faith they put into us. We greatly appreciate all the kind words and messages we have received over the last few days!

We also feel it is appropriate to thank the FMA for all their efforts and dedication to the sport!

Despite all the above, there comes a time in life when change should be welcomed and embraced. We believe that our decision is in the best interest of all those involved. We believe that Luxol Futsal Club share the same vision as us and that they have the same long-term objectives including raising the bar of the local game and trying to generate

more and more interest and involvement at a grass root level. We hope that we can continue to help improve to the level and quality of futsal in Malta and ensure that the sport keeps on growing.

It is thus, with a heavy heart, that we would like to say for one last time, VAMOS Balzan!

Mr. George Xuereb, Honorary President, Balzan Futsal Club

Mr. Mario Vella, President, Balzan Futsal Club

Mr. Nathaniel Jones, Vice-president Balzan Futsal Club
