Balzan FC for Uefa Futsal Cup 2012

Malta Futsal Champions Exess RP Bidnija who have changed their name to Balzan FC Futsal have recently added some players to bolster their squad in view of their 2012 UEFA Futsal Cup commitment in the second week of August.

Balzan FC Futsal will leave Malta in the coming days to participate in the preliminary round , Group A , to be held in Trebinje, Bosnia Herzegovina , between the 7th-9th of August 2012 .They will be facing strong sides KMF Leotar Trebinje of Bosnia Herzegovina and moldovian side Lexmax Chisinau in a group of only three teams.

Balzan FC futsal president Mario Vella stated that ‘Last year we went to Macedonia with some key players missing who could not make it with us in the team but we felt that this year we could not repeat the same mistake.We are going to Bosnia Herzegovina with a full compliment of a 12 man squad in a view of a win in our first gme to keep our chances open for qualification’ .

Player/Coach Florin Anton commented that he feels confident the team can get better results in this year’s Uefa Futsal Cup.After winning the MFA First Division Futsal League,for the third consecutive year , the technical staff has worked to improve the squad and acquired the services of 5 established Futsal players , the most notable being former Luxol Amazon player Basil Emeka Onuta and former Naxxar Motors player Zeljko Anicic.

Balzan FC futsal team manager Nathaniel Jones explained how ahead of their debut in this season’s UEFA competition is to improve upon last year’s results as the team is about to participate in the UEFA Futsal Cup for the third consecutive year.

FMA President Donald Spiteri thanked Balzan FC Futsal for their constant co-operation with the association , Spiteri added that Balzan FC’s structured , professional setup is what led them to win the National League for three consecutive years .

Balzan FC will kick-off  their new FMA season with the FMA Super cup on the 3rd of September against Lija Athletic FC
