Mtarfa qualified for the Group Stage with an aggregate of 17-1 after winning the First Leg 8-1 and Marsascala will now compete in the newly-formed Section D.

The final score line is a clear indication that Mtarfa had a very easy task to beat Marsascala, Mtarfa keeper Andre’ Muscat only dealt with back-passes from his colleagues.

After only three minutes Mtarfa opened the score as Matteo Grima served Kyle Saliba with a cross from the right flank and he scored with a low drive from inside the area past Marsascala keeper Neil Debono., and five minutes later they doubled their lead when Josef Bouzguenda received the ball from a long drop-kick from his keeper and after entering the area he placed the ball in the net.

The pressure from Mtarfa resumed as they mounted two more actions. Isaac Borg released Saliba on the left flank and Debono saved his effort from outside the area in two attempts and Grima then set Bouzguenda free in the area but he drove over the bar.

Marsascala created the first action after 16 minutes when Ayrton Incorvaja was fouled on the left flank and from the free kick by the same player the ball was cleared away.

The score became 3-0 in the 25th minute. Grima dribbled past a n opponent on the right flank and after the ball was cleared to a corner from his cross, the flag kick was taken by Bouzguenda and Borg netted with a low shot from inside the area.

Marsascala created the last two actions before the break. Steve Swain was fouled outside the area and from Incorvaja’s free kick the ball was cleared away and Adrian Mercieca served Braydon Farrugia with a through ball and Muscat had to come out of his charge to kick the ball away to safety.

The second period was a total dominance by Mtarfa during which they added five more goals and the hammering commenced seven minutes after the reastart. Borg dribbled past two opponents on the right flank and after he crossed the ball to Brandon Spiteri in the area who scored with a tap-in to make it 4-0.

The fifth goal was scored in the 50th minute when Borg served substitute Kain Vassallo with a cross from the right and he scored with a hard drive from outside the area.

Between the 64th and 67th minutes Mtarfa scored three further goals. Borg dribbled past an opponent outside the area and after the ball thumped the bar from his hard drive substitute Aleassandro Grech was on hand to score from the rebound from inside the area and Vassallo released Saliba in the area and he scored with a lobbed ball.
