Main organiser of the event, Mr Joseph Cassar, Secretary General of the Maltese Olympic Committee emphasised  that “the atmosphere, especially at the start and finish of these events, was indeed a most happy one, and it was beautiful to see the huge colourful wave of sportsmen and women set off in a most organised manner, for their runs and cycle over the distances of 10k, 5k and 2.5 k.  It was also very nice to see many of the Maltese elite athletes who joined this event and mix with the participants.”
