50 Hour Sports Marathon in aid of Inspire

A 50 Hour non-stop Sports Marathon shall take place at the Corradino Sports Pavillion between Friday 7th October at 6.30pm and 8.30pm on Sunday 9th October where a number of participants of various ages shall be volunteering their time and energy in a mixture of sports varying from, Futsal indoor football, Volleyball, Basketball, Judo and Aikido. All the participants shall be raising funds in aid of Inspire – The Foundation for Inclusion.  Entrance for the event is free of charge, however donations by the general public is encouraged. Throughout this weekend an assortment of entertaining activities will be taking place for both adults and children.

The kid’s area will include bouncing castles, balloon modelling and face painting provided by Curtain Raisers. Whilst for those adventurous types, Segway rides will also be available, all against a small donation.  Furthermore a book stand shall be set up thanks to Sierra Book Distributors and a number of local celebrities will be entertaining during the whole weekend, including, Marilena, Thea, Leontine, Christabelle Curmi, Enzo Gusman, Free Spirit, Ian J Vella, Claudia Faniello, Ivan Borg, Lyndsey, Soraya, Veronika Farrugia and more!

Inspire – The Foundation for Inclusion – helps over 1,000 children and adults with learning and physical disabilities across five centres in Malta and Gozo. The services and programmes address the educational, therapeutic, social and recreational needs of the people they help, with a focus on ability and potential.
