Following the Maltese Elite Referees’ visit to Northern Ireland on the 24th and 25thAugust to control top level matches organised by the Irish FA, this time round it is the Irish referees’ turn to come over to Malta as part of the referee exchange programme. In fact, this weekend, top officials from the Irish FA will be in charge of two BOV Premiership matches as follows:
- On Saturday 06th October, FIFA referee Raymond Crangle, assistant referees David Anderson and Andrew Stevenson, and Andrew Davey as 4th official will be in charge of Sliema W. vs Hibernians
- On Sunday 07th October, referee Andrew Davey, assistant referees David Anderson and Andrew Stevenson, and FIFA referee Raymond Crangle as 4th official will be in charge of Balzan vs Melita.
Both matches will be played at the Ta’ Qali National Stadium and kick-off at 15:00. The finalisation of this referees’ exchange with Northern Ireland is another in an on-going series of similar experiences which in the last months have been taken in hand by the Malta FA Referees’ Department.
