Floriana FC are in negotiations with Argentinian legend Pedro Pasculli to serve a role in the technical area of the club next season. The 1986 World Cup winner will arrive in Malta tomorrow evening and will be presented to the Floriana fans during Friday’s rally at 19:30.

Floriana president Johann Said aims to offer experienced Pedro Pasculli the job of co-ordinating Floriana FC’s nursery and senior squad in a more professional manner.

Holding an impressive CV, Pasculli holds strong connections with various Italian and Argentinian top clubs. This could very well mean a lot for Floriana FC and an opportunity for some local players to earn a football trial abroad. In fact, the fifty year old Argentinian will be having his first look at Floriana players against Marsaxlokk on Saturday.

The former Argentina star is the third best all-time goalscorer for Lecce. He hung up the boots in 1996 and was also a World Cup winner with Argentina’s national football team in 1986, scoring the only goal in the Round of 16 match against Uruguay.
